El Dorado hops were developed by CLS farms in the Yakima Valley region, Washington in 2008. After some initial test batches and releases to a few select brewers, Eldorado hops were finally released to the public in 2010, still on a very limited quantity.
The success was instant – both professional breweries and homebrewers simply couldn’t get enough of this insanely delicious, aromatic hop.
The magnificent characteristics of Eldorado are quite unique compared to any other hop out there. Eldorado packs some serious punch with characteristics like pears, watermelons, pineapples, and lemons as well as some more rustic flavors like mint and woody notes.
