How Are Connectors Used?

In a typical draft beer system, you would have certain spots that require the right connectors to make them work together as intended. Furthermore, when upgrading or customizing your system, some unorthodox connections need to be made, and that’s where connectors step in.

Types of Connectors

There are too many different types to list them all - here are a few common ones often found in draft beer systems.

• Ball lock liquid quick disconnect - used with Cornelius kegs, this connector is attached to the beer line that runs to the faucet
• Ball lock gas quick disconnect - similar to the liquid quick disconnect, this connector is also used with a Corny keg but for the air line.
• Swivel set - a universal connector piece, it is used for attaching a swivel nut fitting to MFL or FFL fitting (depending on the type)
