How to Attach a Beer Hose
Attaching a beer hose may not be as easy as it seems. Provided you’ve got the right size beer hose (3/16 inch ID attaches to a 3/16 inch barb, and so on), here’s what you need to do:
- Heat up a bit of water in a pot (not boiling, just hot)
- Place a clamp over the end of the hose (the one that is going to be attached)
- Dip the end of the hose into the hot water for 30-60 seconds to soften the vinyl and get it stretched
- Take the hose out of the water and slip it onto the hose barb all the way up. Then, pull the clamp over the assembly (make sure it’s over the barbs) and engage it.
