Parts of a Beer Shank Assembly

A typical beer shank consists of the following parts (may slightly differ depending on the beer shank type):

• Shank sleeve - locks and secures the faucet into the shank
• Shank collar - locks and secures the faucet into the shank
• Shank teeth - seal the shank into the faucet
• Shank wall flange - gives our shank mount a more professional look
• Shank hex nut - used to lock the shank into place

When choosing a beer tower shank assembly, you need to look out for the bore size of the shank - in order to match it with the beer hose size that you’re planning to use (the standard variations are 3/16’’ and ¼’’).
